PAB granted financial approval of Rs 760.90 lakh for the financial year 2025-26
Lucknow. National Institute of Educational Planning NIEPA, after discussion in PAB, submitted a revised proposal regarding the training program to empower KGBV wardens. This program will run for a period of 18 months from May 2025 to October 2026 and the deadline for submission of the final report is October 2026. Financial approval for the financial year 2025-26 was sought for a period of 11 months i.e. May 2025 to March 2026, which has been granted financial approval of Rs 760.90 lakh by the Union Ministry of Education Project Approval Board i.e. PAB. Now, the warden working in place of principals in Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools in more than 6 thousand states and 27 states including 2 union territories including Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal and Dadra Nagar Haveli including Jammu & Kashmir will be made fully aware of the responsibilities of the girls and will be given proper training on school management, educational activities, operation and maintenance. It is to be noted that Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya was running from class 6 to class 8 in the entire country, which as per the announcement made in the Union Budget of the year 2018-19, by merging the centrally sponsored schemes Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rashtriya Shiksha Madhyamik Abhiyan and Teacher Education in the entire country and creating an Integrated School Education Scheme, Kasturba Vidyalayas were expanded up to class 12.
